These earrings are created by a technique closely related to reticulation (melting silver surface or part while the rest is still solid).
Why is this texture so similar to natural mountain ridges and deep valleys? Because it’s created in almost the same way as nature created mountains. The upper layer becomes solid (like Earth’s crust) and the layer just below it is still liquid and while cooling rapidly, it forces the upper layer to crinkle.
This is a super simplified description but the processes really have much in common.
I have three pairs available.
One bigger (pair 1) and two smaller (pairs 2 and 3). Pair 3 is more irregular than pairs 1 and 2.
Pair 1 (photos 1, 2, 3) – ovals 19 x 15.5 mm, full length 36 mm, weight approx. 4.4 g per earring (neither lightweight nor heavy)
Pair 2 (photos 4, 5, 6) – ovals 15 x 12 mm, full length 32 mm, weight approx. 2.6 g per earring (lightweight)
Pair 3 (photos 7, 8, 9) – ovals 15 x 12 mm, full length 32 mm, weight approx. 2.5 g per earring (lightweight)
